- --------------------------------------
-
- Russia has been (and still is) a major force in most topics - even in
- computer science. A surprising number of software development efforts
- within the former Soviet Union are using object-oriented programming
- and object-oriented design to build production software systems. Major
- universities teach object oriented methods and there is some research in
- this
- area. Besides this there is much cooperation between Western and Russian
- companies and research institutes.
-
- It seems to be the right time for the first international conference in
- Russia about object oriented technology. This conference should:
-
- - help East and West to learn from one another
- - help to build new connections
- - give the opportunity to present and to learn about
- o the actual state of research in OO technology
- o OO based developments
- o practical experiences with OO
-
-
- The conference will be held at the St. Petersburg university.
- Accommodations
- will be provided on-site. Additional accomodations will be available in
- St. Petersburg. Airport limousine service between St. Petersburg Airport
- and the conference site will be provided.
- The conference organizers will help you in gathering the necessary visas.
